Saturday Edgar and I had a single turn start. He was very good. When he hit the second leg he pulled me right down the leg. It was drizzling and of course that didn't bother Edgar.
November 15 2025 There were 2 short tracks. Poor Edgar has me for a handler. The first track didn't have enough food drops. The second track, which I put in, I was so busy watching him I forgot where I put the second turn. Edgar seems to be one of my dogs that likes to overshoot the turns. I'll have to remember to back up. My line handling has gone to poop. I kept getting tangled in the line. Oy Vey. Edgar gets car sick and Mary Ann gave me an idea for the car sickness. It was to put him in the car and let him chill and don't drive. Build up the time he spends in the car. I hope it works. This evening Edgar and played an article game. He was very good on sitting at the article. He got high value treats on his articles.

Nice job trying a start...if you can next time, try to set it up similar to what is posted on the website under Training Tab --> Training Exercises. There's a map with suggestions for augmentation at the turns. On that map there are four starts...with the idea being that each start is progressively older than the the one before it. So, for example, if you were going to do four starts, you'd maybe want to add 15 to 30 min of age to each one (depending on conditions, where your dog is in his training, etc) - the first one might be 45 min, then increase by 15 min so that the second start is 50 min and so on. If you don't have space and time for all four starts, I'd still try and aim for two to three.
